Our curriculum is designed to draw on and develop the natural enterprise and curiosity of our students, encouraging them to be the next initiators and innovators in their fields. UAL’s course offer is wholly specialist, with 94 per cent of higher education students studying on the creative, technical, studio and practice-based courses which characterise learning here. Taught courses are predominantly studio-based.
The University’s academic community comprises 850 permanent academic staff , 330 technicians and 1,800 associate and visiting lecturers, who are integral to our teaching model. It includes leading academics and practitioners in our disciplines and visiting staff from peer institutions and industry.
